Sunterra Corporation – 1999 to 2001 – Corporate Vice President - As the company’s senior real estate professional, was responsible for all acquisition and development efforts, including managing a staff of six. When the company entered into chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2000, was senior corporate officer tasked with the workout and/or disposition of over $150 million in real estate assets. Key accomplishments included:

Disposition of 25 resort properties, a process that included creating a strategic disposition plan, asset management during the disposition period, marketing the assets, negotiating purchase and sale agreements and court approval for the stalking horse bid process and closing the sales.

La Quinta Inns – 1996 to 1999 – Vice President – Responsible for acquisitions and new development throughout the western United States. Directed and/or participated in projects with a total investment of over $300 million.

PKF Consulting – 1988 to 1996 – Vice President – Based in the company’s Miami office, advised clients on the development of hotels/resorts, timeshare/condo projects, vacation home subdivisions and mixed-use projects. Project locations included the Caribbean, Mexico, Central/South America and throughout the United States. Assisted in the creation of a strategic development plan and ultimately in the roll-out of a new business class hotel chain developed by one of Mexico’s premier hospitality companies.
