Associate - Analyst (Entry Level Position)

HREC Investment Advisors currently has an open Associate position in our highly respected three-year analyst program, based in our Denver based headquarters. The analyst position gives an entry-level, career-minded professional the opportunity to be exposed to high-level hospitality real estate transactions, including property sales, debt placement, structured financing and equity placement.  Past analyst alumni have proven the position provides the ideal flexible foundation for future senior positions in hotel real estate and finance, including employment with public hotel companies/REITS, entrepreneurial owner/operators, private equity, and leading lodging management companies.  In addition, some analysts have remained with HREC as brokerage/investment banking professionals.

When you finish your first two years of the program, you are eligible for promotion to Senior Associate.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in hotel administration or hospitality business;
  • Hotel and/or casino operations experience;
  • Strong analytical, financial and business communication skills; solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial environment where you can play a critical role in the on-going growth of a prestigious national firm.
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic; job will require working some nights and weekends in addition to days;

Responsibilities:

  • Brokerage: Assist senior brokers and investment bankers in preparation of disposition analyses and IOMs (Investment Offering Memorandums), research and marketing, while providing analytical and administrative support to facilitate the closing of real estate transactions;
  • High-Level Client Interaction: Extensive client exposure directly with the hotel, real estate and gaming industry leaders and client company presidents/senior level executives;
  • National Market Exposure: Valuable diversified market experience with large and small hotels throughout the country.

Internship Position

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, financial, and business communication skills; solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial environment where you can play a critical role in the on-going growth of a prestigious national firm.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Hotel operating experience;
  • Preference given to those with a curriculum focus in Hospitality or Real Estate Finance

Responsibilities:

Assist brokerage analysts in preparing Brokers Opinions of Value (BOV), proforma DCF analysis, and research along with client pitch decks and marketing material such as Investment Offering Memorandums (IOM).

Term: Summer of 2023

Compensation:  This is a paid internship.  Interns will be hired on as an independent contractor at $18 per hour
